Finding Inspiration in Every Angle
Hello all! I am Nicole Laranjeira, a very warm, bubbly, loud, and energetic person. Photography has always been my passion. I got my first camera at age 12 and filled every memory card I had with the most random pictures of flowers, sand , and all sorts of things that a 12 year old finds interesting. I started doing photoshoots for people as a part time job whilst still being an airhostess. As you can see, I love people. I love to capture the moments that you cannot put into words. I love to see one's confidence grow when looking at the photos, and most importantly, I love every aspect of this job. Being able to highlight a person's most beautiful aspects- even those which they did not believe existed- is what brings me the most joy.
My Story
The moment I realised that photography was 'my thing' was when I had entered my first ever photography eisteddfod in grade 12 and received a result of 99%. The theme was "poverty" and after many days of struggling to capture the right moment (which would mean invading the privacy of those in the street), I decided to create it. I grabbed my niece and took her to the felt. There we found an old, damaged bath which we turned to it's side and used as a background. This experience made me realise that photography is a form of art. It is a space where I can bring to life the visions that run through my mind.
